Islamabad March 22 (TNS): Maryam Nawaz will leave for London in the second week of April to join her ailing mother Kulsoom Nawaz, who is getting treatment for throat cancer.

High credible sources told TNS that Maryam, whose court exemption plea was rejected by the trial court at the last hearing, will move another application seeking court exemption for at least one week.

According to the sources, if the application is turned down by the trial court this time around, Maryam will leave the country on a weekend to join her mother and she will remain with her ailing mother for at least one week.

The sources claimed that Maryam will return to the country after spending at least one-week with her mother and other family members.

The sources said that the interior ministry or the Federal Investigation Agency will put no hurdles in the way of Maryam to go London as the interior ministry has not entertained an application of the National Accountability Bureau, seeking to place former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam’s name on the exit control list.

Earlier, the trial court turned down applications of the former premier and his daughter, seeking one-week exemption from court hearing as both of them wanted to go to London to look after Kulsoom Nawaz after the NAB prosecutors opposed their pleas saying that the trial has entered the final stage and their absence from hearing could delay the timely conclusion of the proceedings.
