Sukkur, March 28 (TNS): Death toll reached to 13 in roof collapse incident in Sukkur, Officials say.
According to medics seven women and two kids are among 13 killed after the roof of a warehouse collapse at Khajoor Mandi area of Sukkur on Wednesday evening.
The daily wage labors were victim of explosion who were working in warehouse’s kiln to bake the date fruit.
The explosion occurred due to chemical used in the process at illegal-built warehouse, officials added.
Police and rescue teams including Rangers and army personnel rushed to the scene soon after the incident and recovered dead bodies and injured under the debris.
More than 15 wounded were shifted to nearby hospitals.
