Lahore March 30 (TNS): The lady health workers, who have been in protesting on Mall Road for the last five days over non-payment of salary and wretched service structure, have threatened to shut the metro bus service across Lahore from today if their demands were not met.

The protesting LHWs are demanding that the provincial government issued a notification to overhaul the service structure and regular increment while the health authorities have turned a deaf ear to their protest.

The protesters have blocked the main thoroughfare, disrupting traffic and causing inconvenience to commuters and motorists.

The venue of the protest has turned into a garbage dump, as the stench of burning trash has engulfed the surrounding area. their own.

A statement issued by the provincial health department has promised to make payment of pending salaries an allowance of Rs5,000 each for supervisors.
