Lahore March 30 (TNS): The Counter Terrorism Department on Friday saved the city from a possible bomb disaster and a blast after it held a suicide bomber and five other facilitators during a raid.
On a tip-off, the CTD raided a hideout and arrested the six terrorists including the suicide bomber who were planning to carry out a sabotage activity in the city.
The terrorists were stated to be affiliated with the proscribed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan. The arrested suspects were identified as Islamul Haq, Jahangir Shah, Imran, Waqarul Ameen, Aleemur Rehman and Luqman, the alleged suicide bomber.
The arrested terrorists were shifted to an undisclosed location for further investigation.
