First edition of Pakistan International Film Festival underway in Karachi

Karachi March 31 (TNS): Pakistan International Film Festival started-off on March 29 in Karachi and continues with its full flow. It is the first large-scale film festival since the Karawood Film Festival in 2015.

It provides a platform for young talented film-makers and showcases their talents by premiering their short films, documentaries and feature films.

The upcoming film “Cake” was also premiered on the first day of the film festival which includes a well-reputed cast of Actors like Sanam Saeed, Amina Sheikh and “SadkeTumhare” star Adnan Malik. The film got a huge response and was applauded in the screening and also on social media reviews.

The Festival gives international filmmakers a chance to interact and share ideas and experiences with the local stars of the countries.

The event was star-studded with likes of Ayesha Omer, Syra Sheroz, Sajjal Aly, Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy and legendary actress Mehrina Khan.

Indian actor Vinay Pathak who is famous for his role in the “Bheja Fry” series also graced the red carpet.

MehreenJabbar’s anticipated film Lala Begum is set to be screened on 31st March in which Mehrina Khan is in lead role.

The event will last till 1st of April.
