Lower Dir April 5 (TNS): Awami National Party chief Asfandyar Wali Khan said on Thursday that the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government was getting nothing from the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and only one province was reaping the benefit of the multi-billion development plan.

“The CPEC should be named as China-Punjab economic corridor. We are getting nothing from it. All the projects have been concentrated to Punjab,” he said addressing a public rally in Lower Dir.

The ANP chief said that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif had promised that justice will be meted out to KP while carrying out projects under the CPEC but he never fulfilled his promises. “And the irony is that the current prime minister, Shahid Khan Abbasi, is still considering Nawaz Sharif his prime minister. This prime minister had also promised to give KP its due share in the CPEC but it never materialized,” he said.

Turning his gun at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan, Asfand said that the PTI chief starts his talk from abuses and ends with invective and decency in politics was done away with Imran’s entry in politics. “Imran Khan had announced to take action against his party lawmakers who had sold their votes during the Senate elections, but he even did not divulge their names, which speaks volumes of his double standard and hypocrisy.

The ANP chief also demanded that the Federally Administered Tribal Areas should immediately be merged with KP though a constitutional amendment and it should also be specified how many ministers will be inducted in the KP cabinet, whosoever forms the government in the province.
