Boat Capsizes in Charsadda, as two children go missing

Charsadda, April 5 (TNS): At least two children went missing on Thursday after a boat carrying 15 students of a seminary capsized on Kabul river in district Charsadda.

The boat was crossing the Kabul River near Sardaryab picnic point as it suddenly lost its balance and capsized in the heave of waves. The police and other officials of concerned departments rushed to the site as soon as the incident occurred.

The rescue officials quoted that 13 students were rescued and two boys named Osama and Yasir are still missing who were onboard with the other students at the time of the accident while the search operation is underway for the missing students, he added.

The Police are monitoring the situation closely, the reports suggest that all the children belonged to the seminary of Warsak Road in Peshawar and they were on a trip to Charsadda.
