ISLAMABAD, April 06 (TNS): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Asad Umer said on Friday that the tax amnesty scheme announced by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was a slap in the face of those who pay their taxes.
Addressing a press conference here, he said that the amnesty scheme the economic bloodshed aimed at benefiting tax evaders.
Earlier, the prime minister had announced a major tax reforms package envisaging substantial reduction in income tax rates and the amnesty scheme for undeclared assets.
The Prime Minister said at present only 1.2 million people were tax filers
