Pakistan deports Chinese engineers involved in brawl with local police

Islamabad, April 10 (TNS): In a major development, Chinese engineers who got into a brawl with the local police were deported from Pakistan on Tuesday, local media quoting officials reported.

According to reports, 5 Chinese engineers working on M-4 motorway project under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) landed in hot waters after physical brawl with the local police official in Khanewal, a town in South Punjab.

Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal, decided to deport the Chinese engineers after the inquiry report submitted by Multan’s commissioner Bilal Ahmed Butt.

These Chinese were transported to Lahore Airport where they left for China.
