LAHORE, April 15 (TNS): Residence of Supreme Court’s senior judge, Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan came under attack.
According to press release, multiple gunshots were fired at Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan’s house located in Lahore.
Gunshots were fired twice at senior judge’s residence, once late Saturday night and again on Sunday morning.
Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar has taken the notice of incident and arrived at Justice Ijaz’s house.
The Chief Justice summoned IG Punjab.
It is important to mention here that Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan was a member of the bench that ruled that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif could not become party chief after his disqualification.
Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan was also a member of the bench heard the Panama Papers reference against Nawaz Sharif.
