Islamabad April 16 (TNS): In a dramatic twist, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Islamabad on Monday shelved three cases against TLYR chief Khadim Hussain Rizvi and others related to the attack on a police check post and vandalism during the Faizabad sit-in after the prosecution pleaded that “the case is being investigated from the scratch”.
ATC Judge Shahrukh Arjumand halted the proceedings against the TLYR leaders after the prosecutor said that the police were investigating cases from scratch and a new charge-sheet will be filed after a complete investigation.

The prosecutor requested the court to halt the proceedings till the new charge-sheet was filed. The ATC judge accepted the plea and adjourned the hearing.
The development comes after the Punjab government reached an agreement with Rizvi and others recently in Lahore that all terrorism cases against them will be dropped after a thorough perusal of cases.
