‘Pakistan Land and Life’ put on display at PNCA

Islamabad, April 16 (TNS): As many as 50 large size photographs by Sharjeel Anzar depicting landscape, folk heritage, traditional architecture, and people busy in the routine life kicked off at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts, says a press release issued by PNCA here on Monday.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the exhibition ‘Pakistan Land and Life’, renowned poet Kishwar Nahid said the photographs speak the language of a poet with all colours and beautiful compositions. She said photographs are the scenes of real life from the far flung areas that reminds the actualities of our culture.

The Director General PNCA Syed Jamal Shah said the photographer has skilfully captured the precious moments of life from different parts of the country. The scenes truly reflect the life at grassroots, culture and the old architecture. It is a joyful journey through the lens.

He said all the exhibits offer unusual experience and feel, and reflect the nostalgia associated with the traditions. People are born alone and struggle all their life to be part of the whole.

Sharjeel Anzar, said objective of his photography is to capture the actual life of the people and the extra-ordinary moments of nature and aesthetics to please the eye of the viewers. One can easily see entire Pakistan from my photographs, the photographer said.
