New York April 19 (TNS): Pakistan has been elected as a member of the Non-Governmental Organizations Committee of the United Nations Economic and Social Council and as the member of Executive Board of the UNICEF.
Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Dr Maleeha Lodhi said in a tweet that the success shows how much the international community reposes confidence in Pakistan.

Lodhi said that as a member of the Committee on the NGOs, Pakistan will continue to enhance cooperation with civil society organizations working alongside governments to improve the lives of people across the world.
