Islamabad April 17 (TNS): Naval Chief Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi on Tuesday met with his Chinese counterpart Vice Admiral Shen Jinlong in Beijing.
Both the naval chief discussed cooperation and regional security situation during the meeting, said a statement issued by the Pakistan navy.
The naval chief apprised his Chinese counterpart of Pakistan’s role in fighting terrorism without discrimination.
Admiral Abbas also talked about Pakistan Navy’s role in a multilateral task force to counter maritime terrorism and piracy.
The Chinese naval chief appreciated Pakistan Navy’s role in ensuring maritime security.
Admiral Abbasi also held a meeting with Deputy Administrator of State Department for Science, Technology and Industry. The two sides exchanged views for cooperation in defence production.
