PTI reveals names of leaders involved in horse trading in Senate Elections

Islamabad, April 18 (TNS): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf chairman Imran Khan said on Wednesday that twenty Assembly members sold their votes in Senate elections.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad PTI chief said that his party has estimated that between 30 to 40 votes were sold in the recent Senate Elections in March.


Chairman PTI revealed the names of the lawmakers of his party allegedly involved in horse trading, which included Sardar Idrees, Ubaid Mayar, Zahid Duranni, Abdul Haq, Qurban Khan, Amjad Afridi, Javed Bashir, Yasin Khali, Faisal Zaman, Mairaj Humayun, Babar Saleem, and Wajih Uz Zaman were among the male members.

Whereas, the female members including Nargis Ali, Dina Naz, Fauzia Bibi, Nasreen Hayat, and Khatoon Bibi were probed by investigation committee of the party. Imran Khan alleged each member has taken 40 million to sell their vote.The PTI leader said that we will issue show cause notices to these members to seek an explanation from them, as they not only sold their votes but their conscience.

The Party will also send the alleged corrupt leader’s names to National Accountability Court for a thorough investigation.
Imran Khan said for the past 40 years the senate elections have been manipulated to get power. We have raised this point in the elections reforms committee to change the rules for the process of Senate elections, he added.
