Terror bid foiled, arms and ammunition seized in Peshawar

Peshawar April 18 (TNS): The Peshawar police on Wednesday foiled a major terror bid and seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition.
On a tip-off, a police team raided a house at the Pathana Reigi area of Peshawar and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition including two suicide jackets, three anti-tank mines, four rocket launcher, seven mortars, 9 RPG-7 fuse, 100 detonators and 10 grenades.

Police have registered a case against two suspected terrorists belonging to a banned outfit. Senior Superintendent of Police (operations) said that the suspected terrorists are wanted to the Peshawar police in 17 other cases. “Raids are underway to arrest the suspects,” he said without specifying their names.
