GUJRANWALA Mar 10 (TNS): A four-storey building of a superstore was reduced to ashes by a fire in Satellite Town in Gujranwala in the wee hours on Saturday, causing a loss of millions of rupee.
Rescue teams put out the fire after a struggle of five hours as intense smoke hampered the rescue work.
Goods and items worth millions of rupees were gutted by the third-degree fire.
Initial investigation indicated the fire was caused by short circuiting.
The superstore owner, Rana Umar, said that goods worth over Rs100 million was destroyed by the blaze.
