Islamabad April 20 (TNS): Minister of State for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that the present government was implementing the wage board for working journalists after almost 17 years.
She said that past government could not implement the crucial award for the working journalists who burn the midnight candle to bring accurate information to the public. The minister said that the media was also passing through evolution like democracy in the country.
Addressing a ceremony in connection with the third anniversary of the establishment of China Cultural Center at Pakistan National Council of Arts in Islamabad, Aurangzeb said that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor will prove a game-changer for the coming generation and it will also help boost the economy of the entire region.
Aurangzeb said that the CPEC has taken Pakistan-China friendship to new heights. She said that culture has special importance under the One Belt One Road initiative.
The minister said that Pakistan and China were looking forward to cultural diplomacy.
She said students were learning the Chinese language at the cultural center. She thanked the Chinese ambassador for efforts in connection with the cultural center. Aurangzeb said Pakistan’s first film policy has been included in the next budget.
She also said that politicians should decide about the caretaker government and the responsibility rests with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and the Pakistan People’s Party, mature political parties, to develop a consensus to form the interim set up before going to the polls.
