London April 21 (TNS): The British former lightweight Champion Amir Khan will face Phil Lo Greco in his career decider fight today as he mentioned that his career will end if he lost.
Khan has not fought since he was defeated by Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez in Las Vegas two years ago, while his last was seen in a unanimous point’s victory over Julio Diaz in Sheffield in 2013.
According to sky sports, Amir Khan and Phil Lo Greco make weight on Friday for today’s fight in Liverpool.
Amir Khan and Phil Lo Greco successfully made the 150lbs catch weight limit for the former world champion’s homecoming fight in Liverpool.
The 31-year-old, who held two titles at super-lightweight, ends a two-year absence from the ring by facing Lo Greco at The Echo Arena this Saturday night.
Khan was bang on the required weight at 10st 10lbs, while Lo Greco was slightly lighter at 10st 9lbs 5oz.
New trainer Joe Goossen has been introduced into the training camp for this comeback fight and Khan intends to produce a punch-perfect performance against Lo Greco.

“You are going to expect to see an electrifying Amir Khan,” he said. “You will see the speed, the explosiveness, the power.
“Working with Joe Goossen, my new trainer, I’ve been working on a lot of new things. Timing my shots well, making sure I’m not going to make any mistakes in the fight. A polished Amir Khan.
“For two years I’ve been out of the ring, but in those two years, I’ve changed my style a little bit. I’ve spent more time in the gym.”
Khan still holds ambitions of facing long-term rival Kell Brook and challenging for a world title, but must firstly overcome Lo Greco, who has promised to pull off a huge upset.
“It’s going to be a good test,” said Khan. “It’s going to be a tough fight regardless.
“Phil Lo Greco, he’s come to England to fight me, if he beats me it takes him on to bigger and better fights
“He’s looking at this as a fight he can win. It’s a big fight for us both. I’ve not been in the ring for two years and he’s been a little bit more active than me. Time will tell who wins the fight.”
The chief support saw Commonwealth lightweight champion Sean ‘Masher’ Dodd wait about 10 minutes for friend and foe, Tommy Coyle, to arrive.
The challenger apologised for his delay before weighing in at 9st 9lbs 2oz, inside the limit, but slightly heavier than Dodd (9st 8lbs).
Conor Benn also returns against Chris Truman on the undercard, while the biggest cheers at the Hilton Hotel came when Liverpool favourites, Natasha Jonas and Anthony Fowler, both made weight
