New Delhi April 21 (TNS): Former Union finance minister and senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha announced on Saturday to quit the party accusing it of undermining democratic institutions.
“Today I am taking ‘sanyas’ from any kind of party politics, today I am ending all ties with the BJP,” Sinha said while addressing an event in Patna.

Sinha vowed to work for the protection of democracy in India but did elaborate further.
Sinha, who had joined the BJP in the mid-90s, said from today my relations with the BJP is over. I am severing my ties with the party.
