Lahore, April 23 (TNS): World Bank will provide 300 billion rupees loan to Punjab government for development of agriculture sector, says a statement issued by Punjab Agriculture Department.
According to statement, the loan will be utilized for improving financial conditions of farmers under Strengthening Markets for Agriculture and Rural Transformation programme.
Under this programme, crop insurance policy would be launched and the use of high efficiency irrigation system would be used for the better use of available resources of irrigation.
