Rawalpindi, April 23 (TNS): Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Commander Sri Lankan Army discussed bilateral defece ties and regional security, says a statement issued by ISPR here on Monday.
Lieutenant General N.U.M.M.W Senanayake called on General Qamar Javed Bajwa at GHQ.
During the meeting matters of mutual interest including military to military relations, regional security situation and measures to further enhance bilateral defence cooperation were discussed. Visiting dignitary acknowledged and appreciated Pakistan Army’s sincere efforts and sacrifices in war against terrorism and for stability in the region.
Earlier on arrival at GHQ, Commander Sri Lankan Army, laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada.
