Islamabad police host farewell to its 59 retired personnel

ISLAMABAD, 25 April (TNS): Islamabad Police on Tuesday hosted a farewell for 59 policemen getting retired from service and appreciated their efforts for dedicating their lives for ensuring peace in society.

The retiring policemen included one Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), 10 Inspectors, nine Sub-Inspectors, eight Head Constables and 31 Constables. They thanked the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Dr.Sultan Azam Temuri for hosting farewell in their honor and giving them honor.

The IGP said he was proud of them as they dedicated their lives for the welfare of others after joining the police service and gave priority to serve the people by even keeping aside their family problems.

He said such ceremonies would be held in future for giving respect to others who would complete their services. The IGP said his doors would also remain open for those getting retired and their problems would be resolved on the priority basis if any. He also garlanded the retiring policemen with flowers, gave them honorary shields and saw them off in police protocol.
