DIR LOWER, April 25 (TNS): Senior leader and Central vice president of Awami National Party (ANP), Zahir Shah Khan passed away after the protracted illness at his village Ouch here early Wednesday morning.
Zahir Shah Khan (80) was a prominent social figure and well known ANP leader and considered as one of the most influential elders of Lower Dir district.
He had gone through coronary by-pass surgery some years ago and since last year facing problems related to cardiac functioning. He is survived by four sons.
His Nimaz e Janaza was offered at village Ouch that was attended by scores of political leaders especially from ANP and thousands of people.
He was later buried at his ancestral graveyard in village Ouch.
