PESHAWAR April 25 (TNS): At least six miners were suffocated to death on Tuesday night when a coal mine filled with gas in Kala Khel area near Peshawar.
According to media reports, the labourers were working inside when gas emitted from the coals filled mine leaving six laboures dead at the spot. They were not equipped with any safety device, reports added.
Four of the six deceased were identified Azizullah, Nisar, Kareemullah and Shah Syed.
The bodies were shifted to the hospitals for further medico-legal formalities.
