Islamabad March 13 (TNS): Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has said that he will not let his detractors destroy his political career and will fight back with equal force and complete his mission

Addressing a highly-charged crowd at Convention Centre Islamabad, where Shahbaz Sharif was installed as the party president by the central supreme council, Nawaz said that from now onwards, he will fight for the sanctity of the vote, the mandate of the public, the right to rule of the people and the supremacy of the civilian government.

The former premier also took a pledge from the crowd that they will stand by him in his fight for their rights and for the sanctity of the vote of the people, who, he wants to progress. He said that due to his efforts, load-shedding ended, terrorism was rooted out, record development work was carried out.

Sharif said that he did not care for his personal interest or safety and he will fight even if his life was at risk.

Criticizing the PTI for its support to a PPP candidate in the Senate elections, he said that “Bani Gala walas and Bilawal House and other caravans took shelter under an anonymous force in supporting an obscure person”.

“You have become exposed before the nation. You are a hypocrite, you are a liar and you have actually a loser despite claiming to be a victor,” he said alluding to PTI chief Imran Khan, who had earlier announced not to support PPP candidate Saleem Mandviwalla for the Senate deputy chairman but at the eleventh hour, the PTI voted the PPP candidate.

Sharif said that NAB and other investigation agencies failed to prove a single penny against him in the so-called corruption cases.

He asked the charged-crowed to support him through thick and thin and asked them to convert the next general election a referendum against the forces inimical to the supremacy of civilian and public rule.
