FIA cybercrime wing curbs a wing involved in cyber scam

Islamabad, April 26 (TNS): Cyber Crime Wing of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Saturday arrested a prime suspect of a ring involved in cyber scams by using the fake Facebook ID of a suspect who is under arrest in Adiala jail over a murder case.
The investigation has revealed that the group used to manipulate and use young girls for their wrongdoings.

 


According to detail, the ring has allegedly hacked the ID of Raja Arshad who is currently under arrest in Adiala Jail over a murder case.
The gang pretending of being Arshad were contacting different businessmen and his close friends who were living in England and Pakistan and asking them for money by making various excuses.

 

Raja Arshad the detainee in Adiala jail filed a complaint with the Cyber wing of the FIA alleging two suspects Suleman Qureshi and his wife Afshah of using his Facebook ID for criminal activities.
Earlier, the group asked for money to an English citizen the citizen who contacted his friend Tariq in Islamabad. Tariq informed the FIA about the gang.

On the directives of FIA team, Tariq asked the suspect asked Muhammad Saleem Khan to meet him in Saddar Rawalpindi where FIA team detained him.

During the initial investigation, Saleem khan told about the Mani Qureshi and a third suspect. Who were later arrested from the Imad Chowk Rawalpindi.
A case has been lodged against them and an investigation is underway.
