Dera Ghazi Khan, April 30(TNS): Chief Officer Municipal Corporation Muhammad Aslam has filed a complaint to Regional Police Officer against corrupt Mayer of Dera Ghazi Khan.
In his complaint, Chief Officer alleged that Mayer of Dera Ghazi Khan Shahid Hameed Chandiah, who has been involved in mega corruption, misconduct and abusing his power, ordered him illegal and political motivated instructions.
Muhammad Aslam said he refused to obey illegal orders and to punish him; the Mayor on April 4, 2018 transferred his services to parent department in Lahore.
The Chief Secretary Punjab and Secretary Local Government, cancelling illegal transfer, ordered Muhammad Aslam to resume his office in Municipal Corporation Dera Ghazi Khan.
Despite orders from offices of the Chief Secretary Punjab and Secretary Local Government, the Mayer locked his office and deployed private gunmen outside his office, he added.
He said even after two weeks, he has been denied access to his office Municipal Corporation by private gunmen deployed by the Mayer Dera Ghazi Khan.
The Chief Officer requested Regional Police Officer to help him in this regard.
