Quetta, April 30 (TNS): A bill was submitted in the Punjab assembly on Monday, in the wake of recent target killings of the Hazara Community in Quetta.
The bill was submitted by Hina Pervaiz Butt on the behalf of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). It had various significant points and demands from the government and focused on the rights of the community of which the government should take immediate notice.
The brutal killing of the Hazara community in Quetta is condemnable. The forced missing of individuals in Quetta is already a very common and telling factor which is yet to be addressed, the bill said.
In the bill, it was also added that for the past twenty years Hazara community has been targeted and discriminated on the basis of their caste.
The bill demanded that the government should take notice and address the sit-in of the Hazara Community, which is being observed for five days.
The bill also seeks government to fulfil the rightful demands of protestors in the sit-in so that a new wave of sectarianism does not emerge in the country.
