Quetta, May 4 (TNS): In the latest incident of violence, at least 6 labourers were shot dead and one injured in Kharan district of Balochistan, officials said on Friday.
According to Levies officials, unidentified gunmen on motorcycles opened fire at labourers in the Laijay area of Kharan.
The workers. belong to Punjab, were installing a mobile tower when they were targeted, officials added.
After the attack, the gunmen managed to flee from the scene.
Security forces and rescue teams reached the scene soon after the attack who shifted bodies and injured man to the nearby hospital.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
Baloch rebel groups involved in such cowardly attacks however no group claimed responsibility of Friday attack so far.
