Rawalpindi, May 06 (TNS): Army chief Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa has condemned attack on interior minister Ahsan Iqbal.
DG, ISPR Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor in tweet said that “COAS condemned firing on Federal Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Expresses best wishes for early recovery”.
Iqbal was injured in an attack during a Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz political rally in Narowal.
An unknown assailant opened fire on the PML-N leader on Sunday, from a distance of 15-20 yards, when he was heading towards his car, after the rally.
The attacker possessed a 30-bore pistol, with which he attacked the interior minister.
