Parts of country jolts with earthquake tremors twice

Islamabad May 9 (TNS): Earthquake tremors jolted twice parts of the country on Wednesday.

According to Pakistan Meteorological Department, tremors were recorded 6.4 magnitudes at the Richter scale while the epic centre of the earthquake was in Afghanistan – Tajikistan Border Region.

The Earthquake tremors were felt in Islamabad along with Peshawar, Nowshera Swat along Malakand division along with Manshera, Dera Ismail Khan, Swat, Abbottabad, and Mardan, and Kohat on 3:42 Wednesday.

Earlier, the tremors were felt at 8:25 AM and were felt for 15 to 20 seconds which was recorded to be 5.8 magnitudes on the Richter scale.
