16 Afghan security forces killed in a clash with Taliban

Kabul May 12 (TNS): At least 16 Afghan security forces were killed in a clash with Taliban insurgents in Farah province, the Ministry of Defense said.

According to the ministry, the clash happened on Friday night when a group of Taliban from the neighboring province attacked Farah city in a bid to take control of the city.

The ministry said security forces responded to the Taliban and as a result, 45 Taliban insurgents were killed and more than 40 were wounded.

According to Tolo news report, Taliban has confirmed the clash.
