Army calls urgent meeting of NSC over Nawaz’s Mumbai attacks remarks

Rawalpindi, May 13 (TNS): Pakistan army on Sunday officially responding Nawaz Sharif’s controversial remarks over Mumbai attack sought urgent meeting of National Security Committee.

Pakistan army chief spokesman Maj-Gen Asif Ghafoor in a tweet says a meeting of National Security Committee has been suggested to Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to discuss recent “misleading statement regarding Mumbai incident.”

In a Twitter statement, DG ISPR Asif Ghafoor said that the meeting would be held on Monday.

ISPR statement comes in wake of recent remarks made by ex-premier Nawaz Sharif about the Mumbai attacks.
