Peshawar, May 17 (TNS): Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak presided over a cabinet meeting that approved amendments in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa child protection and welfare act 2010.
The move gives representation to Secretary Health or his nominee as member of child protection and welfare commission.
Under the amendments child protection units will be set up at district level and child protection officer will look after the whole system including registration of FIR.
Child protection officer will be supported by all officers at district level.
