Hassan Ali faces injury scare ahead of England series

Islamabad, May 22 (TNS): Champions Trophy starlet Hassan Ali faces an injury scare ahead of the England test series, which will commence from May 24; the fast bowler suffered an injury during a warm-up game against Leicestershire while attempting a catch.

The right arm pacer split the webbing between his thumb and index finger and got two stitches as precautionary measure, according to physiotherapist Cliffe Deacon.

“We will try to rest him for the practice session on Tuesday and we will assess tomorrow whether the injury heals in time for the test match for now Ali is available for selection”, said Deacon.

Hassan Ali will be an integral part of Pakistan’s bowling lineup this summer as Mohammad Amir also faces issues with a longstanding knee injury and was also rested for the side match against Leicestershire County.

Although the 26 year old, should no sign that he is not 100% fit, as bowled in a practice session during lunchtime.
