PESHAWAR, May 27 (TNS): Amid KP session to vote over FATA merger bill, protesters on Sunday clashed with police outside the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly.
The police used tear gas shots, baton-charged against the protesters to stop them from entering the assembly building.
The forces also used water cannons to disperse the protesters.
Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl workers pelted stones at the police officers.
Police arrested 10 protesters while five people reportedly wounded during the clash.
The JUI-F lawmakers with large number of workers ambushed the KP assembly to stage protest against the merger move.
