Justice (R) Nasir ul Mulk sworn in as 7th interim Prime Minister of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, 02 Jun (TNS): Justice(R) Nasirul Mulk has sworn in as the interim Prime Minister of Pakistan.

At oath taking ceremony in President house today, former prime minister of Pakistan Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was also present, as the President Mamnoon Hussain administered the oath.

Senate Chairman, Deputy Chairman, politicians and military officials were present too in the ceremony.

He is the seventh caretaker prime minister of Pakistan.

Later caretaker premier was given a guard of honor, also vowing to hold fresh elections countrywide.

On Monday, former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Khursheed Shah announced Justice retired Nasir-ul-Mulk as caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Shah announced the decision while addressing a press conference along with Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and National Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.

“All political parties are agree on name of former CJP as caretaker PM,” adding that Justice Nasir name was decided on merit.

“We have selected a candidate for caretaker premier who will prove to play a democratic role.

It is pertinent to mention that elections are scheduled for July 25th, 2018.
