United Nations, June 7 (TNS): Pakistan neither desires nor will ever support a large and inefficient Security Council of the United Nations.
This was stated by Pakistan’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Maleeha Lodhi at the Intergovernmental Negotiations aimed at reforming the 15-member body to make it more representative, efficient and effective.
Ambassador Lodhi emphasized that consensus only exists for enlarging the Council by more elected, non permanent members at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).
