Islamabad, June 8 (TNS): In a major development, the top court on Friday sought details of companies which write-off loans.
A three-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan has sought reply within a week from the 222 companies involved in the loan write-off.
Hearing a suo motu case pertaining to the loan write-off of fifty four billion rupees, the chief justice said that properties of tax defaulters will be seized and their cases will be referred to the National Accountability Bureau.
Hearing of the case has been adjourned till 19th of this month.
