Islamabad, July 5 (TNS): Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has clarified that DG FIA Bashir Memon has not been transferred due to an important inquiry.
In a statement, the Commission said undue criticism is being made by some circles on non-transfer of DG FIA.
A day earlier, the Supreme Court of Pakistan barred establishment division from the transfer of DG Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Bashir Memon till the completion of probe in Asghar Khan case.
A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar heard the case. The CJP remarked that a media hype occurred a day before regarding Memon’s transfer.
