Islamabad, July 12 (TNS): Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Justice Javed Iqbal on Thursday assured implementation on accountability court orders to arrest former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz in Avenfield properties reference.
According to a press release issued by the prime anti-graft watchdog, Chairman NAB said that on directions of accountability court Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz will be arrested upon their arrival in Pakistan and any hurdle in the implementation of courts order would be dealt with full force.
Earlier, the Accountability Court sentenced former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to 10 years jail term on corruption charges in Avenfield corruption reference.
His daughter Maryam Nawaz has been awarded seven and her husband Captain (retd) Safdar 1-year imprisonment in the case.
Sharif has been fined 8 million pounds corruption charges in Avenfield corruption reference in his absence and Maryam Nawaz 2 million pounds.
