Islamabad, July 12 (TNS): Pakistan believes there is no military solution to Afghan conflict, and durable peace in the war-torn country can be achieved through an Afghan-led and Afghan-owned solution.
This was stated by Foreign Office Spokesperson, Dr Muhmmad Faisal while responded a question during his weekly briefing here on Thursday.

He added that Pakistan urges all sides including Taliban to renounce kinetic options and join the peace and reconciliation process to end this brutal conflict in Afghanistan.
Dr. Muhammad Faisal said contacts with the US are active at all levels. He said continuation of dialogue reveals the will of both the countries to move forward in their relations.
In the opening statement he said that Pakistan says Kashmir is cornerstone of its foreign policy and it will continue political, diplomatic and moral support to Kashmiris struggling for their just right to self-determination. He said that Kashmiris are fighting for their self-determination.
He added that wave of Indian brutalities continues unabated in the occupied valley even on the eve of second martyrdom anniversary of Burhan Wani. He said Burhan Wani has become a metaphor of resistance in Occupied Kashmir and his martyrdom will give more impetus to freedom struggle.
Foreign Office Spokesperson said Indian forces killed eight Kashmiris last week alone, including a teenager and also injured one hundred and seventy innocent civilians. Foreign Office spokesperson also expressed concern over reported shifting of resistance leaders Asiya Andrabi, Naheeda Nasreen and Fehmida Sofi to India’s notorious Tihar Jail.

He said Pakistan calls upon international community to take cognizance of human rights abuses in Indian Occupied Kashmir as well as the OHCHR Report and immediately call upon India to stop the bloodshed.
Dr Faisal said the OHCHR Report on Kashmir is a reflection of Pakistan’s repeated calls to the International Community to take stock of India’s brutal use of pellet guns, indiscriminate firing, and use of human shield and promulgation of draconian AFPSA and SPA laws that are making lives of Kashmiris in IoK a living hell.
He said in Indian occupied Jammu & Kashmir, India is committing brutal killing and maiming of innocent civilians. He stated during inhumane killing of Kashmiri youth continues unabated, Indian occupation forces also injured over 170 innocent civilians during last week with use of brute force including bullets, pellets and teargas shells.
Dr Faisal said Pakistan condemn brutal human rights violations of Indian occupation forces.
He added, Pakistan launched the Remote Sensing Satellite-1 (PRSS-1) by LM-2C/SMA launch vehicle from Jiuquan Satellite Center, China. The 1,200 kg satellite PRSS-1 will operate at an altitude of 640 km. The satellite will enable Pakistan to meet its imagery requirements in the areas of land mapping, agriculture classification and assessment, urban and rural planning, environmental monitoring, natural disaster management and water resource management for socio-economic development of the country.
Another flagship satellite, Pakistan Technology Evaluation Satellite-1A (PakTES-1A) indigenously designed and developed by SUPARCO’s engineers, has also been co-launched with PRSS-1 by the same launch vehicle. PakTES-1A is a 285 kg satellite equipped with an optical payload commensurate with national needs. It has a design life of three years and will operate at an altitude of 610 km.
