Islamabad, July 12 (TNS): The district administration of Islamabad on Thursday issued final notices to 10 candidates including PTI Chairperson Imran Khan and former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi for violating the electoral code of conduct during their election campaigns within jurisdiction of the federal capital.
According to the notification issued by the office of District Magistrate Islamabad, final notices were issued to Imran Khan, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Asad Umar, Mian Aslam, Raja Khurram Nawaz, Raja Imran Ashraf, Dr. Amjad Sabt-ul-Hassan Shah, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry and Afzal Khokhar.
These candidates were issued notices on violation of Article 23 and 26 of the Election Code of Conduct.
The authority ordered these candidates to remove illegal advertisements within 24 hours others wise the district administration of Islamabad would send case to the Election Commission for legal action.
