Bulawayo,July 13 (TNS): Pakistan outclassed Zimbabwe in the first ODI of the five-match series on Friday in the Bulawayo stadium, as they emerged victorious by 201 runs.
Imam Ul Haq played the anchor role with Fakhar Zaman in a 113 run opening partnership and scored a scintillating hundred for the green shirts, the left-hander scored 129 off 134 balls including 11 boundaries.
Fakhar continued his good run of form as he scored another quickfire half-century. Pakistan posted 309 in the first innings to make things difficult for Zimbabwe.
Shadab Khan picked up four wickets as he ripped through the tail-enders to reduce the Zimbabwe total to 107 runs.
Asif Ali on his debut provided the pinch perfect finish in the first innings on his debut as he provided impetus in the innings and scored 46 off 25 balls to take Pakistan past the 300 mark.
