LAHORE, Jul 14 (TNS): President, Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Khalid Sajjad Khokhar on Saturday said that Government has already approved a grant of Rs 200 million for PHF which will be released in the next month help the national federation to carry out hockey activities smoothly.
He said that the government has not stopped PHF grant based on the performance of the national team in the Champions trophy and said a wrong impression has been portrayed in a section of press in this regard. We are thankful to the Government for its patronage to the PHF and without this continuous support it is not possible for us to revive and promote the game, he added.
He said that the optimism that Pak team will be on victory stand in the Asian Games being held in Indonesia next month.
