Islamabad July 18, (TNS): The Apex Court on Wednesday bared Dr Shehzad Niazi in PP-90 Bhakkar and Muhammad Ali in PS-16 to contest elections.
A two-member bench of the Apex Court comprising of Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed and Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan heard the applications. Meanwhile, the court rejected the application of ineligible against Aftab Akbar from PP-23.
Earlier on July 03, the Apex Court of Pakistan declared PPP’s Candidate Yasmeen Shah ineligible from contesting elections. A three-member bench of the supreme court headed by CJP heard the case on the plea of former National Assembly Speaker, Dr Fahmida Mirza.

During the hearing of the case, CJP remarked that name of Yasmeen Shah’s father is changed in her matriculation certificate, such people cannot be allowed to contest election.
