Jail authorities deprived Nawaz of basic facilities: Marriyum Aurangzeb

Lahore, July 23, (TNS): The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb on Monday said the nation is concerned about Nawaz’s medical condition in jail.

PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif had written letters to caretaker premier and Punjab chief minister to appeal to provide basic amenities to Nawaz,” Marriyum said.The PML-N leader asserted, “Jail authorities deprived Nawaz of basic facilities.

According to doctors Nawaz Sharif should be immediately shifted to hospital, Marriyum Aurangzeb added.“Nawaz’s condition worsened due to denial of facilities,” she added.Meanwhile, a petition to declare house of ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (r) Safdar as sub-jail has been submitted in Supreme Court’s Lahore Registry.The petition was filed by the chairman of Watan Party Barrister Zafarullah Khan in which, he stated that references against former PM are pending at accountability court.
