Islamabad, August 1 (TNS): Amid formation of government, Authorities in Islamabad finalised security measures around prime minister-in-waiting Imran Khan’s Bani Gala’s residence on Wednesday, local media quoting sources reported.
The ICT district authorities tightened the security perimeter around the residence and also stationed an ambulance and a fire fighting vehicle at the 300-kanal villa situated on the outskirts of the federal capital.
While tradition dictates that the prime minister takes up residence at the PM House on Constitution Avenue, Imran had asserted in his victory speech that he would not reside at the officially designated residence.
It is pertinent to note that the PTI lacks a simple majority to form the federal government and Punjab government, it has a majority in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
