Islamabad, Aug. 3 (TNS): Despite court’s stay order, the administration of National Police Foundation Housing Society (NPFHS) continued illegal construction work which is open violation of master-plan of the housing society.

Civil Judge of Islamabad East Court, Muhammad Abbas Shah, had issued a stay order to halt illegal constructions in National Police Foundation Housing Society.

Putting court’s orders aside, the administration of National Police Foundation Housing Society did not stop work on illegal constructions.

Senior lawmaker Najamul Hassan Najmi, a resident of National Police Foundation Housing Society, while making several other residents of society, filed a petition in the Civil Court in Islamabad.

The petitioner in his application complained that the administering Housing Society is violating the Society’s master plan by selling residential plots, allocated land for graveyard, parks and mosques for commercial purposes.

He added that the residents of housing society are facing serious problems.

The petitioner pleaded the court to issue stay order against illegal constructions and sale of residential plots as commercial ones.

The residents of the National Police Foundation demanded justice and warned that if the illegal construction was not stopped by the administration, they would stage a protest and block Islamabad Highway.
